Avantus Now Offering Civil Court Search Report

July 25, 2017

On July 10th Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion implemented their National Consumer Assistance Plan (NCAP), which significantly affected the reporting of public record data.

According to Experian's preliminary analysis, about 96% of civil judgment data does not meet new reporting standards and will no longer appear on credit reports or be used in determining scores. In addition to civil judgements, tax lien reporting will be reduced by 50-70% based on the new standards being applied.

In response to these changes, Avantus has released a new product, Civil Court Search, as part of its LoanShield Fraud & Compliance Solutions. The Civil Court Search, developed in conjunction with PitchPoint Solutions, will give lenders access to the public record data they need that will no longer be available from the credit bureaus.
